This is the second Troika bowl of fruit. I’m fortunate enough to own two that were purchased several years apart. The first Troika bowl of fruit is also listed in this site. They are amongst some of the rarest Troika pieces with only five being made. Produced by Julian Greenwood Penny, it is marked ‘Troika’ in their usual way, written with black ink. Both bowls of fruit, as can be seen from the photos, vary regarding quantity of fruit and glaze colour to the bowl. It is only my assumption but I’m presuming the other three that should/may still be in existence, all vary to some degree, whether that be in the colour of glaze, quantity of fruit, or both. When viewing Julian Greenwood Penny Sketchbook on this website you will see his designs for two of the Bowls of Fruit on page 124. Dimensions: 23.5cm x 23.5cm x 15cm -

Troika small rare vase marked with early printed Troika mark -
Stunning Thames Plaque with a dark blue & black glaze. Height 25.7cm Width 22cm -
This early large troika terracotta plate / charger was thrown by Benny Sirota probably within the first year of the pottery opening. It has strong blue/turquoise & black glazes with a stylised leaf design which also adorn many of the various plates the pottery produced. When I purchased this from the seller he told me that he knew of only one other in ‘red clay’ and that one had been damaged. I cannot substantiate this but in all my years of collecting Troika pottery I have never seen another plate/charger produced in this larger size and in ‘terracotta’. It has very early 'scratched' Troika St Ives mark with separate impressed troika trident mark. Diameter 29.3 cm
