This is a very rare piece, an early troika urn vase with early embossed trident mark on the bottom. -
A rare early item as are all Troika tiles! I especially like this one due to the scarab design which the pottery used on several of their items including perfume bottles, flasks, trays etc. This early troika tile is marked with Troika St.Ives in black ink and an early troika trident mark at the back. An early St Ives Scarab Flask Vase with one face white glaze hand painted with a Scarab design and the rest painted in a blue glaze with green hints. Other face blue glaze with off centre small dark circle. Base has impressed Troika St Ives and Trident impressed mark.
