Troika Square Lidded and Footed Pot (Biscuit)

Unusual Lidded Pot with four corner feet in biscuit form. Cross hatched patterns to the lid and a ring of incised patterns to the upper body. Four corner feet.

Description

An unusual/rare Troika form, probably from the Newlyn era, which was acquired from the Donaldson collection of Troika bisque ware, which they purchased along with many others including moulds when Troika closed in 1983. The item has one manufacturing imperfection to the inside corner of one lid, otherwise in very good condition. Poignant and unusual part of the Troika story.
