Description
Acquired from private collector, this vase, 14cm high, has an overall blue tin glaze. Each side has a unique elongated swirl pattern, in relief in black glaze. The inside rim of the vase has one very small chip, otherwise in excellent condition and displays well. An earlier Troika piece – all these Lidded Vases are – and is painted Troika St Ives to the base, Decorator unknown – possibly Stella Benjamin looking at the writing (I have one piece decorated by her and the writing is similar)
