Description

St Ives Chimney Vase decorated by John Bedding. This has patterns in relief and incised on both faces, finished in a bright orange ochre glaze over circular feature and small raised squares above/beneath. Unusual and striking colours. The sides and top finished in a bronze effect manganese oxide glaze. The base is painted Troika St Ives and the monogram for John Bedding. One side at the base still has an auction sticker showing it was up for auction at Christie’s in 2004 – kept on for historic interest and can’t see when on display. Condition 10/10.
