This information will be important as some pieces were produced either as ‘one-offs, in very low quantities, or like others, in their hundreds if not thousands.
Many Troika pottery designs have been published in the books covering the story of the pottery but not all of them, especially the unique and low quantity items. Having this knowledge will help enormously when someone wants to ascertain the approximate value of any given piece.
The serial numbers will only be issued after a verification process to establish the authenticity of each piece. This will be a simple process whereby the owner will upload photos of his/her items and once the owners of this site are satisfied the piece/s are genuine then the serial number/s will be issued. This procedure will give peace of mind to owners and anyone who may purchase Troika from this site due to the problem of fakes that currently exist.
The serial numbers issued to log and verify each separate Troika item, will only cost at most, the price of a postage stamp.
For example, if you have five items of Troika pottery then all five serial numbers will be issued in one transaction after verification.
As you will no doubt appreciate this is an ambitious project but given the strong interest that still remains in this fascinating ‘art pottery’ it can be achievable ………but only with your help of course!

Troika Pottery Collectors Club
We will log & authenticate all Troika Pottery items using submitted images from members. Once authenticated, a serial number will be supplied and this in turn will form part of an ongoing database for present and future collectors of this highly sought after Art Pottery.
The process is a simple one involving registering your items for FREE to our ‘live’ and ‘continuously updating’ website.
Once registered, your Troika item/s will receive a lifelong reference to the site using the unique serial number/s attached to each of your Troika piece/s.
Each item once authenticated will be placed into the correct category and will be searchable on the site using it’s unique serial number.
In the interest of all members we encourage that you share any stories & history behind your Troika items and if you wish to do this, there will be a facility within the site to upload your text.
As a member of this website you may sell your registered pieces. You can also purchase other registered and authenticated Troika items from other members on this website. In doing so, you can be confident that what you are purchasing is a genuine Troika item as it will have been previously registered. Each logged piece have the all important serial number that can be checked against the site’s database.
We do not charge any fees here in Troika Pottery site. It is free to join, free to list your pieces on our online catalogue and For Sale page. We would however, appreciate any donations towards the site’s running costs.
Members of this website can list their Troika piece/s on our For Sale page for free, as we do not charge a listing fee or commission on completed sales made.
Please note – financially, we do not get involved in any transactions nor do we become involved in the ‘process’ between the seller and buyer. However, once you have sold your troika piece, we will need to manually input a change of data on this website, to transfer ownership details.
This will involve removing from the sellers account the ‘sold item’ details to include any photos & text etc. In turn, that same information albeit with new ownership details will then be input into the new owners account.
Please be aware – This process is only activated once the seller clicks the ‘Sold Button’ after they have completed the sale.
The above process as you will appreciate will accrue some additional admin costs for us. Therefore we respectfully ask the seller that once you have sold your troika piece, please be so kind as to make a small donation.
Please note……… from time to time you may purchase an item of Troika from another source other than this website which will have a serial number. That serial number will be searchable on this websites database but will not show in your account until the previous owner has marked that piece as sold and it has subsequently been allotted to your account.
Also, any item of Troika that is purchased from the owner or anyone else involved with this website can easily be added to your account as we will have all information needed to complete the process.
All donations, no matter what size to this website, will enable us to keep the website ‘out there’ in the public domain as the only dedicated Troika Pottery Collectors Club website in existence!
