Description
Small wheel vase decorated in muted colours consisting of a white background with medium brown highlights and a hint of olive green. The vase has no chips, cracks, dings or repairs and is in excellent condition. Interestingly, there is a blue ‘smudge’ on the rear face of the vase just left of the centre. With high magnification this appears to be part of the original glaze and was therefore present at the time of manufacture and is not a later stain; possibly a subtle fingerprint as a result of handling prior to firing.
The base is marked “Troika Cornwall England” and bears the initials “LT” for Linda Taylor.

I am a collector in Australia where Troika pieces are somewhat difficult to come by, so the collection is growing at a slow pace. I appreciate mid-century art, architecture and design; particularly anything that might be described as brutalist, although anything abstract will do!
